Ulrich von Eschenbach
Ulrich von Etzenbach (often incorrectly also Ulrich von Eschenbach) was of the most important poets of German-Bohemian court culture. He is regarded as Bohemia's first German-speaking poet.
He was a poet at the Bohemian court of Ottokar II and Wenzel II, where he wrote a narrative about Alexander called Alexandreis in 30,000 verses and of the epic poem Wilhelm von Wenden (around 1290), combining religious, political, and courtly elements which provided a higher linguistic value.
